ABSTRACT

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is inflammatory, auto-immune and multifaktariyel disease. Although the etiology of RA is unkown in detail, the destruction of articular cartilage tissue caused by elevated aggrecanase activitiy with inflammation is known to be crucial event in the early stages of RA. The adippokines secreted by several tissues especially adipose tissue are inflammatory cytokines. There are several investigations have been reported that the levels of adipokines changed in patients with RA. In this study the researches on the possible relationship between adipokines and RA have been reviewed.
