ABSTRACT

Adult Still’s disease is a systemic inflammatory disease that is characterized by fever, rash, arthralgia and arthritis and its etiology and pathogenesis is unknown. The disease has no pathognomonic laboratory or histopathological finding. Diagnosis is made on the basis of clinical findings. The most important laboratory findings of disease are; hyperfibrinemia, leukocytosis, antinuclear antibodies and negative rheumatoid factor. The diagnosis is difficult. in the first weeks of disease due to unclear clinical apparent. Therefore patients, may present with fever of unknown origin. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, corticosteroids and immunomodulatory drugs.are used in the treatment. In this case report we aimed to present a adult Still’s Disease that is induced by Lyme disease while the follow-up with the diagnosis of cause of fever of unknown origin.
